Dr. Sheron Keyes , DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CARN-AP, LCADC

Sheron Keyes, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, CARN-AP, LCADC, is a highly experienced advanced practice nurse and addiction specialist with more than three decades of experience in behavioral health, public health systems, and clinical leadership.

Dr. Keyes earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chatham University, a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from Rutgers University, and a Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Stockton University. Her advanced training allows her to provide comprehensive psychiatric care, primary care services, and addiction treatment across diverse populations.

Throughout her career, Dr. Keyes has held significant leadership and clinical roles. She served as MACC Director (Medicaid District Director) in the state of New Jersey, where she managed staff, assisted with audits of mental health and substance use disorder facilities, and helped develop policies and procedures related to Medicaid services. She also practiced as an Advanced Practice Nurse within emergency and urgent care settings, independently managing patient care and treating a wide range of medical and behavioral health conditions.

In addition to her public sector leadership, Dr. Keyes is the Owner and Founder of Keys to Wellness, where she provides medication management and therapy services. She has also worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse in behavioral healthcare settings and served as an Adjunct Professor in a Master’s-level nursing program.

Dr. Keyes is dual board-certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner and holds advanced credentials in addiction nursing and alcohol and drug counseling. Her clinical expertise includes psychiatric evaluation, medication management, addiction treatment, patient education, and integrated behavioral healthcare. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that addresses both mental health and substance use disorders while supporting whole-person wellness.
