How It Works

The Admissions Process

Our admissions process is designed to be straightforward, transparent, and centered around your clinical needs. Here’s what you can expect:

1

Initial Contact

When you reach out, you’ll connect with a knowledgeable admissions specialist who will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and gather basic information to get started.

2

Insurance Verification

We collect your insurance details and complete a full verification of benefits to determine coverage and eligibility. We accept private insurance plans only.

3

Pre-Assessment Review

Once insurance is approved, we complete a clinical pre-assessment. This helps us understand your mental health needs, substance use history (if applicable), and determine the most appropriate track of care.

4

Clinical Review & Follow-Up

Our licensed clinical team reviews your assessment. If additional information is needed, a clinician may contact you directly for a more in-depth evaluation.

5

Personalized Treatment Planning

Based on clinical recommendations, we design an individualized treatment plan. Our admissions team will review this plan with you — and with loved ones if you choose.

6

Intake & Treatment Start

Once you’re ready to move forward, we schedule your intake date and help you prepare to begin PHP or IOP treatment.

Insurance & Coverage

Verify Your Insurance

Advanced Health and Education works with many major private insurance providers. Our admissions team will verify your benefits quickly and confidentially, explaining coverage details and any out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins. We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or other state-funded insurance plans.

We Accept:

Blue Cross Blue Shield (including Anthem, Horizon, CareFirst, Highmark, Empire, Excellus)
UnitedHealthcare (UHSS, UMR)
Aetna
Cigna
Optum
Moda
Medica
NALC
Imagine 360

Preparing for Treatment

If you are beginning treatment with Advanced Health and Education, our team will help you prepare ahead of time. Because treatment is offered at the PHP and IOP level of care, most clients attend sessions during the day and return home or to supportive housing afterward.

If you are utilizing therapeutic housing or transitioning from a higher level of care, we’ll provide individualized guidance on what to bring.
